Ah no, the security people were completely not interested in the silver, even though (as you mention) it must have popped up on their scanner.
Klik's uncle had used some of those plates and cut pieces off to use in his projects, and the resulting edges were pretty sharp -- so they were sharp to begin with. But even then the silver was completely ignored by security people.
